Box of Neutrals F1 Podcast

48

Michael Lamonato and Rob James valiantly attempt to create approximately 30 minutes of F1-adjacent audio that is both vaguely informative and mildly amusing, often failing spectacularly on both counts.

    Daniel Ricciardo is stereo?
The best thing to come out of Australia since New Zealand.

    Just want to help
I thought your show with the guys from Lakeland was good but I don’t think you have ever worked in a really high pressure environment. Here are two things you should bear in mind about that decision and Masi. 1 A storyline that had a new world champion fighting an old world champion next year would bring even more attention to F1 than one whereA young racer who had just failed to win the championship was trying again. Masi was most probably put under great pressure from liberty.More than the team bosses. 2.Whatever Masi intended or thought does not matter. He was hired to do a job that has to be done under great pressure. He simply couldn’t handle it. He is the wrong man for the job.He has to be replaced. I once was in the ballroom kitchen of the Waldorf Astoria hotel in New York great hotel, famous. There was a sign over the doorway leading from the kitchen to the ball room itself. “If you can’t maintain your standards under pressure you have no standards.”

    Tiresome listen
One guy saying Australian inside jokes, the other guy laughing at the comments like he’s been given laughing gas.

    Cutting edge
So brave of these lads to turn podcasting on its head by inverting the traditional show model. I didn’t think I’d enjoy a 30 minute manscaped/liquor land commercial with 10 minutes of f1 content so much.

    Always silly, suprisingly informing
For a podcast that is both defiantly Aussie and determined to have a joke at the expense of almost every corner of F1, it's also very well-informed. Good analysis, (usually) up-to-date news, and great fantasy team names. For a while I was extremely confused by who Peter McGinley was and why he was always mentioned but never on the show (I started listening in 2018, I think), the reduced McGinley references have made things much more digestable.

    Awesome
Keep the fun! F1 is so much crap now. Be safe, keep enough toilet paper! A long time ago the news paper was the final purpose😂😂

    Love these guys
Hilarious banter, combined with actual tactical discussion - everything you’d want in an F2 podcast

Most fun Formula 1 podcast by miles
Michael Lamonato, Rob James, and their friendly ghost Peter McGinley make this podcast consistently hilarious while at the same time getting down to the essentials of the upcoming or latest races and the other goings-on in F1. My roommates wonder why I'm always listening to Aussies and laughing out loud at the things they say. I only discovered this podcast recently but it's so much fun I've gone back to the beginning (on their website) and am going through their entire archive as far back as it goes. Can't recommend highly enough.

    Best F1 Podcast Out There
I've been through tons of F1 podcasts and, in terms of F1 content and consistent listenability, this is the one! It's neither too long nor too short, Michael, Rob, and ....ummm.... that other guy... somehow make you feel like you're sitting in a living room with them, except that living room has a bunch of radio recording equipment in it. Also that other guy's name is Pete and the loving animosity he cloaks the podcast in is probably my favorite part.
