    Delightfully soothing
I know the content is intended to be mundane but I often find it fascinating and I learn new things (e.g., about Toronto or other places that the hosts have traveled to). I even joyfully laugh out loud at times. Marco and Amanda (and Nidhi before - miss you!) are charming and have very soothing voices. Sometimes I do drift off to sleep and then I often go back and listen to the episode again because I don’t want to miss anything. But even if I don’t fall asleep listening, I find it very relaxing and then more easily fall asleep after it ends. My only complaint - I want more new episodes!

    Perfection in gentle storytelling
Every time I hear Marco and Amanda’s voice, my shoulders drop and I can’t wait to hear what they’re going to be talking about. The mundane can be so engaging! Both of them have a tonality.in thier voices that soothes me and help me relax so that I can go to sleep. I wish I had a new one for every night! You both are doing a brilliant job.

    The Very Best
This podcast has been amazing, truly a great find. The voices are so pleasing and the conversations and back and forth dialogue are wonderful. Marco goes above and beyond in creating calmness throughout the episodes. The show provides a peacefulness I’ve enjoyed on many nights I have suffered with pain and anxiety. It is soothing and tranquillizing.

    Asleep in 10 mins
It works - This podcast puts me to sleep within 10 minutes! 10/10

    Charmingly dull—that takes skill!
This podcast amuses me so much and I look forward to each episode. I can listen to the same episode many times and not get bored, because I always drift off. I want to make it to the end because I amused with how cleverly and easily they pivot from one dull topic to another. Sometimes I have to listen in the daytime just to observe how they do it and it always makes me laugh. It takes a lot of skill for two obviously intelligent and funny people to be earnestly dull for 26 minutes!

    The best
This podcast is the best sleep aid out there. It’s like being a kid and falling asleep to the sound of your parents talking softly downstairs. Also sometimes the topics are genuinely entertaining. Their personalities are very warm and calm and inviting.

    Eh fine
But I wonder if the hosts can keep straight faces all the time. Some of the comments make me almost laugh out loud with their ridiculousness. For example stuff like ‘do you use blah blah blah?’ ‘ooh tell me more!’ And a kid’s voice is totally not soothing.

    My “friends” to the North
I have been listening to this podcast for a couple of years, and it has been a life/sleep-saver on many occasions! But now I also find myself quoting Marco, Amanda and Nidhi, my “friends from Canada” to my friends and my boyfriend who is Canadian! I just love the quiet, light, yet fun energy from all of you! And most of all, thank you for helping this insomniac get at least some sleep!! XOXO friends!

    Thank You
You have saved me! I can’t thank you enough for creating this podcast. I had horrible insomnia. I sleep most nights but have to admit there are some nights I love to listen. My favorite cohost is Amanda. I love listening to your banter and conversations. Thanks again for all you do!

    Come back
Thanks for the help. Me and my son had a hard time falling asleep until we discovered this podcast. Thank you Marco. And please come back we need our sleep!!!

    Ads ruined the experience
This had been my go to podcast for sleep/relaxation for YEARS, but suddenly all my favorite episodes now have loud and annoying ads at the beginning? Super bummed as it totally ruins the point of the podcast for me. Not sure if that is something specific to this podcast or just apple podcasts as a whole, but I am now on the hunt again for something relaxing to help me sleep. Bummer.

    Please give us more
Where are you Marco? I need my sleep! I do miss the podcasts with Nidhi, she had such a soothing voice. I enjoy Amanda as well, but there are times she has woken me up with her laughter. Please bring back more boring yet comforting topics. I especially enjoyed the knitting topic, (even though I don’t knit) anything about food, drinks and I enjoyed hearing about Nidhi’s dog. I understand he has passed away. So sorry to hear that.

    Highlight of my Night
This is one of the greatest podcasts out there and I look forward to every new episode. Marco is a gem, and while it has taken me awhile to get over Nidhi’s absence, I’ve absolutely fallen in love with Amanda’s charm and wit. There’s no better way to end my day than listening to these beautiful friends from afar - sometimes laughing along, regularly curious about the topic of conversation, and oftentimes, asleep well before the end. Thank you, team Insomnia Project!

    Favorite podcast
Engaging yet relaxing, thoughtful and fun. Marco, Amanda, Nidhi and guests became my "friends" through the pandemic pause. Thank you for sharing your talent, creativity, amazing network and many hours of companionship with a restless world.

    A better sleep podcast
I’m loving this podcast to help me get to sleep. Listening to conversation is the perfect blend of interesting and boring to relax and then fall asleep. I was getting too bored of other podcasts that would just tell stories. I actually look forward to turning off the lights and listening to what Marco (and Amanda when she’s on!) have to say about random topics. So thankful for this podcast!
  • gratefullysober
    Grateful listener
This is my go to podcast when sleep is illusive. Found you at the beginning of the pandemic and I have listened to most of the episodes, and my favorite guest is Amanda! Her voice is the calmest. So appreciative of this podcast, it is the best sleep medicine ❤️.

    Very helpful and enjoyable
I found this during my 3 month ordeal with Covid. I had trouble focusing on anything that I normally read or listen to because of the pain level, brain fog and really terrible exhaustion. I needed something to distract me from all of that, but audiobooks left me puzzled because I couldn’t follow a plot. Thank you for sharing these calming, interesting conversations! Besides helping me through illness, it also helped with the isolation of this pandemic and the stress of caring for my kids and husband through medical problems. I can’t visit with friends now, and it was somehow soothing and healing to hear friends talking in person. Little comments that came from being in the same room really struck a chord in me. A reminder of how sweet it will be when I can sit at the same table as a friend while we drink tea and talk about the little things in life!

    Wonderful but the ads!!
Really soothing and relaxing and then just as you’re drifting off the adverts come in blaring and wake you up. Can the volume for the ads match that of the actual show?
  • For change7
    ❤️Perfectly Soothing ❤️
I appreciate your soothing, gentle voices and soft, calming conversation. It mellows me out, quiets my anxiety and readies me for sleep. Thank you so much! 🌙 night ‘night 💤

    Amazing
I listen every night! But last week I had a root canal, and I listened to an episode while I got a root canal. I almost fell asleep during my procedure, more than once. Amazing.

    Too interested to sleep
I started listening in hopes of falling asleep, it didn’t work for that. I found the topics and speakers too fun to listen to. So I’ll probably start listening simply to relax. I’d love to hear more about the topics discussed in the flower episode. The only negative thing I have to say is that the loud, fast paced ads kill the mood and are definitely not relaxing. If you put less aggressive ads, it would be less jarring. Thanks 🌱

    Candy Crush Ad too loud
This podcast is very effective (one of the best I’ve heard) for assisting in falling and staying asleep UNTIL the booming Candy Crush ad comes on and startles me awake. Other than that, the speakers’ tones are good and they move at a good pace. Just tone down the Candy Crush ads so she’s not yelling in our ears.

    Calming & just interesting enough
My natural sleep patterns got totally short-circuited in my first year with a baby, so even when she could sleep through the night, I found I couldn’t. One factor that made the insomnia worse was getting upset with the fact that I couldn’t sleep. I found this podcast to be a lot better than reading/journaling (which can make me more wakeful) or meditating (because anxious thoughts about not being asleep yet would still creep in and keep me up). The podcast is boring enough to not make you any more alert, and interesting enough that sometimes even when I woke at 3 am for no reason, I’d think Hey, now I get to enjoy this great podcast. Is it fail proof? No. I’ve listened to plenty of episodes all the way through. But did it help, a LOT? Yes. This podcast is now my top suggestion to others I know who struggle to sleep. Marco, I’ve been meaning to write this review for ages, THANK YOU :)

    It works!
I rarely make it through an episode, puts me right to sleep!

    Love this!!!
Finally a cure for my insomnia... I listen to this podcast every night!

    Not Boring
There in lies the problem, which is i get so interested in the topic that it keeps me awake.

    My all-time favorite podcast!
Marco and Nidhi have a remarkable flare for making the mundane fascinating despite their best efforts to be less so. Their calming, soothing voices and remarkable optimism make it easy to fall asleep. The world seems safe in their steady hands. So glad you have returned for season three! Bravo!

    Insomnia Project to the rescue
Looking for a way to keep calm prior to a surgery, I came across this podcast. Calming, relaxing and just distracting enough to chase away anxious thoughts. I listened all the way through pre-op. Thank you!
  • Torontese
    Charming, Relaxed Fun
Picture yourself at the lake with a couple of friends. Everyone is relaxed and the scene is quiet. You lie back and close your eyes while you listen to the others chatting. Their conversation goes in all sorts of different directions. They talk about pickles, and tea, and fishing, and foam. You can keep following the conversation, or you can choose to drift off to sleep. Either way, you win. This is how I would describe listening to an episode of The Insomnia Project.
  • Albagotcha
    Love it BUT....
I really love your whole idea/concept, love your chats, yes it does help me fall asleep, BUT your volume is too low and I can’t use my pillow speaker even with it turned up to full volume I can’t hear your podcast using it. Can you turn up your recording volume please??!

    The Absolute Best!
Stumbled upon this the other night when I was looking at podcasts to help me sleep. It is so perfect! The hosts have an amazing relationship- and the conversation is not dumb- two smart, interesting people having a low key conversation about very benign subjects/things/travels. Thank you SO much!!!
  • TripShakespeare
    Relaxing!
    Love this podcast!

    Must listen
This is a very nice and relaxing and sleepy time podcast that helps my brain unwind and fall asleep. It’s helped me and I even turned my wife on to it. 10/10!
  • Blue_Crab
    My favorite!
This is my favorite go-to-sleep podcast. Marco and Nidhi have the most soothing, soft voices that lull me to sleep most nights. Thank you!
  • mairen o
my absolute favorite of all time
I listen to the insomnia project every single day. I have a few favorite episodes that I listen to over and over again - episode 7 is my "falling-asleep" episode, the quilting episode is a calming favorite, butterflies & maple syrup makes me laugh.... I listen to it when walking places around town, when resting in bed, when I'm overwhelmed and I need familiar repetitive stuff to calm me down, when I'm doing chores. I even listen to it when I'm waking up. My friend and I listen to the episodes separately but talk about them together, and Marco and Nidhi's voices instantly calm me down, along with the intro music (don't change it!). Their distinct personalities shine through and make the podcast worthwhile every time! Please never stop making this podcast, and if you ever need donations to keep it going, I'm sure many people (including myself) would be willing to contribute. Fantastic, invaluable content.

    I fell asleep
When I first heard about this podcast I was skeptical...but it totally works. I was interested in the conversation, but their soothing voices put me to sleep and I didn't even finish the episode! Such a great idea, and so helpful for those of us who wake up at 3am and can't go back to sleep, so we end up playing a game on our phone and then getting sleepy and dropping the phone on our face. This podcast saved my face.
  • JalapenoBean
    Thank you!!!
I love falling asleep with you guys! Can we just get an episode e wet day? 😁

    Very, very relaxing
This isn't a podcast that is so, completely boring it will put you to sleep, but rather one that is so soothing it will put you into such chilled state of being--to the point where, after an episode is done, you feel inspired to be still and rest. The hosts choose topics that are seemingly mundane and purposely (I assume) not overly intellectually stimulating. The thing is, listening to them speak in gentle tones and share their genuine thoughts and experiences is really enjoyable to listen to. It doesn't feel dumbed down. While I was drawn to this podcast because it seemed like a novelty, I've subscribed to it because I think the concept is brilliant and Marco and Nidhi host well together.
