Shorti KoolMy favorite new showI recently discovered the Maverick Show w/Matt Bowles by way of the Zero to Travel Podcast and it has quickly become my favorite new travel podcast. Matt has had some very diverse and interesting interview guests and the conversations are always insightful. He’s one of the few podcasters with an authentic “radio voice.” So far I have only listened to a few episodes but I’m looking forward to binging my way through.
-
Avl roverThe Maverick Show with Matt BowlesMatt obviously researches each guest before the podcast interview. Their conversation is relaxed and fun but Matt knows a great deal about their writing, their businesses and their trajectory into being a nomad. His questions reflect the fact that he has actually read their books, watched their videos, followed their blogs. I am inspired in each episode by these intrepid people. Their stories are amazing and Matt brings out all the interesting pieces!!
-
YchusuLife ChangingThe Maverick Show single handedly changed the trajectory of my life. I met Matt at the Nomad Cruise 7 and from then I instantly became a fan of his show. I was very new to this whole digital nomad world and through his podcast I got to hear from people who were doing the very exact thing I wanted to do myself. Being stuck in the corporate world back then, the podcast gave me a glimpse into what life could be on the other side. I remember hearing an early episode talking about Remote Year and I thought wow I'd love to do that one day, travel the world for 12 months with a group of people? Sign me up! Then 2 years later, it was another episode that helped me decide I was going to do it, and now I've moved to a digital nomad hotspot (Buenos Aires) after doing Remote Year for a whole year! It's wild to think where would I be had I never heard the show, but regardless I'm so grateful for all the value Matt and his guests share, how energetic he always is, the insightful questions he asks, and inspiration, courage and hope I got from listening to his amazing episodes on how to make this lifestyle work. Thank you for everything Matt!

SheriTraxlerEnlightening! This is my new favorite podcast I love travel but have always been afraid of long term immersive travel because I like to plan and know what’s coming This podcast gives tons of perspectives and tools to help me envision it Even with a spouse who is hard of hearing I believe we could do more foreign travel now

Tayo RocksonEngaging Conversations with Fascinating TravelersThe Maverick Show offers a captivating blend of in-depth conversations with world travelers, location-independent entrepreneurs, and digital nomads. Matt's ability to draw out stories of epic adventures and unpack the strategies behind remote businesses is remarkable. Each episode is packed with actionable tips and advice that listeners can implement in their own lives, making it not just an entertaining podcast but a practical resource for aspiring digital nomads. Alababa561086Imagine having an amazing dinner guest every week!Immersing myself in Matt’s conversations is akin to having a special dinner guest weekly, some you know and love and some are strangers, unload the profound impact of traveling the globe in a way that is rarely discussed. Each guest provides anecdotes and lessons that are full of nuance, grit, unlearning, not knowing, bravery, and relearning. This podcast inspires me to continue to traverse the world through their lens. As a BIPOC member, I am satisfied to witness that we are out here changing the narrative, one traveler at a time. Good job, Matt!

Kameko_21Favorite Travel PodcastI was featured on Matt’s podcast a few weeks back and had one of the most amazing experiences. The podcast felt natural and just flowed. Even though he is interviewing me and I was sharing knowledge on traveling with kids. I also learned a lot from him from his travels. I also connected with like minded travelers from his other episodes that inspire me too!

Tiffteetee166Great travel podcast! There are fantastic tips for networking and for business in general. Matt is way too attractive for just a regular voice podcast. He has a great voice, but needs a video podcast.

dnkhannahThe BEST podcast hostListening to podcasts is not my favorite medium to consume content, but the Maverick Show is an exception. Matthew is by far the most entertaining and thoughtful host which makes for a feast for your brain. He is knowledgeable beyond measure on so many levels, lending insightful tidbits sprinkled generously throughout episodes. Furthermore - Matt brings on voices who share awe-inspiring stories, the kinds you don’t hear often, he knows how to put their story center-stage and bring out the very best in his guests. Having guested myself, I can attest that behind the scenes, Matt’s level of care and dedication to his craft is second to none - and it all makes for the only podcast I genuinely listen to EVERY TIME an episode drops. 🙏
-

-
Fem786A little bit of everything! What I love about Matt’s podcast is that you can learn so much about different things, touching on all different kinds of topics. Matt is a thoughtful listener and an excellent interviewer who is able to connect and find vulnerablity in his guests in sincere ways that take the listener on an unexpected journey. He is able to find common ground with all the folks we are introduced, which is an essential part of traveling, especially for those who are geographically fluid and location independent. The common thread about about each of the people that Matt interviews is that guests have the courage to live in the unknown and navigate a life of constant uncertainty, filled with ups and downs often taken to extremes. But each of them brings their own skills, passions, experiences, and superpowers that anyone can learn from and be inspired by.
-
LizzyK2772Compilation Episode~Fascinating to listening to each persons travel experiences is an understatement. In Matt’s Compilation episode you get to hear a few minutes of 10-15 people’s (wasn’t counting) wild experiences while traveling. Some of their situations, I would never have put myself in and I’m assuming they made it out safely to tell their stories. Personally liked the Tea on the way to pyramids, the worth of a papaya, and ended with a cherished older monk who spoke no English. I would love to hear the beginning, middle and ends to many of these intriguing and brave traveler’s adventures. I’d like to learn about how they choose their destinations and if they’d go back. Kinda reminded me of PBS 80 days around the world (censored version) with the Maverick show.
-
-JoviR-Superb contentI never write reviews but I had to for this podcast. I very much appreciate Matt’s deeply intellectual conversations and the way he and his guests recount their travels—makes me feel like I’m right there with them! Absolutely love this podcast!!

-
Tammer AbA colorful world tourThe Maverick Show introduces listeners to a variety of captivating guests from diverse backgrounds, who are willing to go into depth about their unique life experiences. The conversations on this pod often take us to far flung places, as Matt’s guests usually have some experience with long term travel, so listening for an hour feels like taking a trip of your own. It is clear that Matt himself meticulously prepares for these interviews, which he shows by being eager to engage on and unpack some of the deeper social issues and personal narratives that his guests often have intertwined with their stories. In the midst of these heavier topics though, Matt always manages to set a fun and familiar tone, and leave you feeling like you were just listening to some chatting old friends. All in all The Maverick Show is a fantastic listen, and well worth your time.
-

ILL-ChayDon’t Sweat The Technique !Matt delivers incisive and enjoyable content with every podcast, seamlessly combining a plethora of topics, that, in my mind, come back to a singular goal: freedom. Freedom from financial, geographic, or geopolitical constraints. He and his guests show us the possibilities that exist in all of us when we take the risks we need to take and live the life we deserve to live. Hit the studio!
-

loveitsomichCaptivating Stories from Inspiring Global CitizensI started listening to the Maverick Show this year and have loved how unique and inspiring each guest Matt brings onto the show is. Matt Bowls is a natural storyteller and his positive energy radiates through the interviews. As a member of the nomad community myself, I have most enjoyed listening to episodes of friends, people I’ve met, and prominent people in the nomad community. I learned so much more about the people I already knew, and how accomplished and humble they are. Matt interviews an incredibly diverse group of humans, and each episode is engaging, heartfelt, educational, and inspirational.
-
Mayousa1Amazing well done showOne of my fav podcasts! It is both entertaining and informative at the same time. I learned so much not only about different travel destinations but also about entrepreneurship. I listen to it whenever I am traveling or on my daily commute to work. Highly recommend ❤️
-
A. B. F.Great content, skip woke moralizingInterviews focused on nomad life and real estate investing are great. Likable host, strong production. Interviews focused on progressive moralizing are tedious and shallow - but easy to skip thanks to obvious tells in the titles (“BIPOC”, “privilege”, “activism”, “traveling as a ______”)
-
Richard Silver PhotoA Must Listen to Podcast for all Traveler’sI listen to a number of podcasts mostly related to politics but this podcast is my go to for all of my travel related listening. Some of the most interesting people, I just want to meet and hang out with. Also, the way Matt hosts the shows are so intriguing and so well balanced. The questions are very pertinent to the subjects he’s speaking with I can’t wait for the next one.
