    Thanks Jeff and James!
I listen to a lot of podcasts and have never felt like leaving a review before, but I love this show and hope they come back soon. Jeff and Nocando are great to hang out with for a few hours and there’s barely a dud episode, though the Mike Eagle and Dam-Funk episodes are favorites of mine. As a sometime Los Angeles resident, I appreciate all the LA specific stuff, plus Jeff’s obscure references (go liberal arts) and Nocando’s dating stories and love for grime. My one shot to fire - I know I’m out here complaining about a FREE podcast, but the sound levels are sometimes all over the place, especially in the intros and early episodes. But I can deal, it’s so much fun I usually tend to forget about it after a few minutes.

the best podcast you're not listening to
The show only keeps getting better. This last week's episode with Open Mike Eagle and DC Pierson is a great place to start. Remarkably honest conversation about the frustrations of a creative career with just the right number of tangents. Thanks.

    Always worth a listen
I would occasionally run across Jeff Weiss' writings online and I'd never heard of Nocando but found my way to the podcast and I really enjoy it. I usually skip over most rap podcasters banter and listen to the guest portions but these two are funny, informative and sometimes even thoughtful on their own. Sometimes the sponsored ads are funny too (ambiguous peddles). I love that I learn a bit whenever I listen and I hope that they'll have more women as guests in the future. I highly recommend Shots Fired.

    Quality hip-hop discussion.
They talk about everything from Drake to Edan. A true zeitgeist of what's good in Hip-Hop. Also they have quality interviews with local SoCal artists.

Great podcast if you love rap music
This is a smart and entertaining podcast that you shouldn't miss if you are in to hip-hop. I just wish Jeff Weiss could go 5 minutes without bringing up Edan.

    Infotainment
Highly fun and informative show about hip-hop music & culture with great guests (esp Open Mike) and awesome hosts. Just the right amount of off-topic, rant-i-ness, on-topic, shots firedness. (PS Lady fan here!)

    Great show!
I am hooked on this show. I guess I am your eighth female fan.

I am literally writing this review to get a shoutout on the show
It's a really good podcast, though. Unless I don't get a shoutout. Then it blows.

    Good stuff
Jeff, if you still want that Devin the Dude interview you're gonna have to hit the RC Car racing circuits. James, no gum chewing or eating into the mic.

    Nocando amazing
I'm one of the seven awesome women. Nocando any better than me. Weiss passion for life. #shotsfired

    Simply put
    It is a great show.

    Beavis & Butthead do music
The guys do a great job of covering hip hop topics often often overlooked by mainstream media. They're are a little raw and tend to laugh like Beavis and Butthead to cover space and interview obscure artists but still do a good job.

Juicy J is My Spirit Animal
These dudes talk like me and my friends when we chillin. Shoutout to all the Juicy J references.LOL "Juicy J is my spirit animal." I thought it was just me who felt this way. Only podcast where Percolator, Po Pimp and Da Brat can be mentioned in the same episode. KEEP DOIN YA THANG HOMIES

    Bueno
I subscribe to this podcast because its good. The two co-hosts have a great rapport and the guests they choose are great as well. They are not afraid to call it like they see it and its funny as all hell to. I don't always agree with what they say but I like how they say it. Keep them coming. When my tricks finally start getting that money I will be donating.

    Shots Fired
It's #turntup. An episode about the dynamics of rap groups and the diffrence between that and going solo and so on would be cool.

    I dig the show...
I like the show. The only suggestion I would have is to let go of the "we need to have a theme/concept for every show" thing. You guys are going to run out of themes/concepts very quickly. You guys should just play Hip Hop that you like every episode and talk about whatever you want... talk about the music you just played, talk about what's going on in your lives, etc. Anyway, I like the show. Please make more of them.

    Totally into this
This has quickly become my favorite weekly podcast. It might be because I love Ghostface so hard, but nah it just good, friends.
  • pqbourke
    Great Show!
I love that Earwolf has added shows like this to the network. Keep up the great work and I look forward to different show topics.

    Favorite Podcast
I'm an old crotchety underground head who pretty much hates everything, including most hip hop these days. But Weiss and Nocando have a way of putting even the new school rappers I hate into a context I can accept. I know that sounds like I only begrudgingly like the podcast but I seriously love it. Its rooted in traditional hip hop and acknowledges the advant-garde as well as the mainstream without being too pretentious about either. It speaks both my language and the new language im trying to adjust to. I wish it came out everyday.
  • Kittyann Gonzalez
    Hood rat things
I started with Ratchet then worked my way through the whole oeuvre. Pretty much covers all the things I love/laugh at about hip hop. Lots of name dropping, poignant use of ghetto terms, coverage of current events in the hip hop community, and more. Really, if you want to hear hood rat things discussed in a coherent manner, this is it. Keep 'em comin.
  • Chris P. Bills
    Smart Show
It's always great to hear smart people talking about music.
  • Gucci 'Frasier Crane' Mane
    Fun and informative
If you don't have time to read a million different (probably crappy) (except for PotW) rap blogs, then this podcast is for you. Jeff and Nocando break down trends, crack wise, etc. It's a fun podcast about rap, which to my knowledge don't really exist.
  • Camerong89123
    Good job earwolf
I always trust earwolf for good shows. i i love this show, the mount rapmore episode made me feel like An old man because its the only one that I knew what was going on but I like to hear about the young whipper snappers too.
  • NMeck
    Funny, Informative, Relatable
Brilliant hip-hop podcast. The hosts and guests are all hilarious. Good podcast for those that aren't deep into the world of hip-hop, but without being dumbed down too much for those of us in love with the genre. The show improves every episode. Mount Rapmore (ep 4) is a good one if you're listening for the first time. They break down the rappers considered to be the greatest in different categories, even dicussing which of the Beatles each of them would be. Never more than a couple minutes without a laugh. A lot of the jokes will go over your head if you don't know who's who in rap, but they usually do a good job at explaining the slang, songs, and history that they talk about. In it's first month, Shots Fired is in my top three hip-hop podcasts. Good stuff.
  • Techyes
    Awesome.
    I love it.
  • Quiz_Show
    It's funny...
Good podcast. Can't wait for different musical guests to come on though. Gaslamp Killer is too pretentious.
  • ricchavez
