Rebecca Mullen CoachingNew Again!I overlapped with Debbie Reber years ago and the lasting impression she made on me was, “wow! Tenderness and Competence in the same package!” Now, re-finding her again I see that she hasn’t changed that wonderful combo! But her message is so honed and masterful. I find her words to comfort any parent. Because all kids are “wired differently” sometimes, right? I found her wisdom accessible and memorable.

Uncle V-PolTools for Parenting SuccessThe information on this podcast and the TiLT Community changed the trajectory of my family. For 8 + years, Debbie has brought in relevant, science based experts on parenting differently wired kids and exploring neurodiversity. I take away something applicable from every podcast I listen to and find resources to explore deeper when needed or desired. This is a considerate place to find answers, help reclaim the joys in parenting, and possibly explore a different lens to view the world through!

KFHMomNVLD Episode- Thank you!I am the mom of an 8 year old neurodivergent little boy who has quite complex needs. I just listened to your episode with Dr. Marcia Eckerd and I am so grateful for it. For years, my husband and I have been trying to understand our son in order to help him. This podcast outlined his profile so well, and Dr. Eckerd offered sustainable, realistic tools for both home and school. So great!! It helped me see the forest for the trees so that I can help my son do the same.

Nat264AMAZING RESOURCEI just barely found this podcast and have been listening to several episodes per day (and taking lots of notes!). Each one is filled with great information and I am starting to feel more hopeful and less alone in the journey of parenting a neurodivergent child. Thank you for creating such a helpful resource, I will be sure to recommend this to all my friends in similar situations!

the creators!Fantastic useful honest information about a tough journeyThis is an incredible resource for parents, educators and advocates for the differently wired people in the world. I love Debbie’s honesty and courage in her approach to supporting her son and connecting with advocates and experts. Parenting a differently wired kiddo can be a lonely and challenging journey. It’s refreshing and encouraging to hear how others are doing it and how to best support them. Our generally rigid educational systems are not set up to support these kids and all of their amazing attributes, it’s very useful to hear how others approach the journey.

Alison RunnerMixed bagThe best episodes are great. I loved Kristy Forbes, for example. But I’m not a fan of how this show also gives a platform to people who aren’t quite as enlightened at times. (They’re usually parents talking about their own kids.) I think the host knows that functioning labels are frowned up, yet the latest guest talks about her son having high-functioning autism. I stopped listening after that. It seems like the host, Debbie Reber, really gets it, but the guests wind up being such a mixed bag. And are the kids being discussed on these episodes being consulted before their parents talk about some of their worst moments publicly? If this show was awful across the board, I’d just walk away and not say anything. But the potential is there. I just wish the guests were held to a higher standard sometimes (and not invited if they can’t meet it).

jschneider0430Great discussion, important topic!Right in the open of the latest episode when one of the guests talked about doctors saying “oh, your child can’t be autistic because they make eye contact or have a sense of humor,” it took me back to my experience with my son. We heard that for years! It’s so important to have more real conversations of what neurodiversity is and how it shows up in different people so we can support those who need it and ditch the old stereotypes. Tilt Parenting is always a great listen and I really enjoyed this episode.

LisaMcKayWritingSo smart, so compassionate - one of my favorite podcastsI’m the mother of a differently wired child and a psychologist who specializes in stress, trauma, and resilience support for humanitarian workers. I’ve listened to this podcast for years and it’s one of my go-to favorites. Debbie brings lived experience, a sharp mind, and deep compassion to her interviews. I’ve learned so much from this podcast and have also felt so reassured that I’m not the only one walking a very difficult and confusing parenting journey.

Yolandab03UnderstandingWe have always realized our boy was wired differently than other kids and especially our other boys we’ve raised! Our son is so special and loving but he struggled emotionally, he responds without thought, takes everything VERY personally, and really struggles to focus on school or anything that is in a group setting. We could give him a list of items to do because he wouldn’t retain any of those requests. We have yet to get him diagnosed (pending an appointment) however it makes me feel so much better knowing he isn’t the only one! I already love this podcast and I’m only a few episodes in!

Kelly O BA Wealth of InformationThis podcast has given me sooooo many ideas to help my ADHD/ODD child in school, sports and at home. Just implementing the executive functioning ideas has improved her skills to the point she doesn’t need the lists anymore and we have moved on to higher level challenges. It really does work!!! I love seeing the changes and I don’t even mind the hard times as much because I have more tools in my toolbox to deal with those hard times now.

SotillarGreat topics, not much substanceI have been looking for resource information that seems exactly on topic to this podcast. I have listened to five or six of them so far hoping to be able to find information and resources that would be helpful. Unfortunately I have determined that they really don’t start talking about the topic until 10 to 12 minutes into the podcast. At that point in time, the discussions are very superficial and don’t offer much depth. On the podcast about fathers, it was 20 minutes into the podcast before we started hearing any advice on how to act or things to consider. Ultimately, the entire podcast seemed to be focused on getting fathers to understand that their role in a child’s development is important. However, if your dad listening to this podcast you’re probably already there and thus I wasted o we half an hour listening listening. On the ADHD on nutrition, I listened intently to the entire podcast and only heard at a high level that iron, zinc and magnesium are important for ADHD. The speaker has amazing knowledge and has done substantial research, but we did not get any of it other than a quick reference to look at her website or read their book. They missed a great opportunity to have a substantive discussion. This site has the potential to be a wonderful resource for us parents helping out differently wired kids. I hope that they find a way to reach that potential.

lkconpdxIncredibly HelpfulAs a parent of a teenager struggling with ADHD, anxiety, and depression, this podcast had provided me with incredible insight and content in one convenient location. While not all of it is pertinent to my personal situation, I can quickly sift through it by topic to find what is. The guests are incredible, with so much information that I can later investigate. I no longer feel like I am trying to parent alone. I wish I had these resources three years ago when my daughter was first diagnosed. This is an amazing resource. Thank you Debbie from the bottom of my heart!
