    Great host
This podcast is so rich in differing perspectives and stories. It is clear the host does her research to ask specific questions to get the best stories out of her guests. Every time I’m drawn in by the imagination and cultural differences the outdoors has for our coexistence.

    Garbage
Episode about Karlo creating “safe spaces” in climbing is absolutely ridiculous. No one cares about your feeling. Shocking she was left behind on that big wall climb...

    Good
Great subject matter but I wish the host would drink a glass of water before doing the podcast. The tongue smacking is distracting and jarring.

    Favorite podcast
I love this podcast so much, especially the episodes that feature diverse perspectives on conservation and and the spiritual component of being in the wilderness. Thank you for making such a thoughtful show!!

    LOVE this podcast
I love how this podcast talks about all the tangential things that touch and affect our climbing, such as how we express emotion and communicate with our partners (Kathy Karlo and Whitney Clark episodes), and land-use and racism (Devil's Tower episode). Our world is bigger than training and beta.

    One of my favorite podcasts

    Disappointing Navel Gazing
I suppose if you like going to liberal arts college, playing the victim and doing various SJW things then the new version of this podcast will appeal. But if you like climbing mountains and hearing about adventures and overcoming challenges you probably won't care to listen. This is truly a contemporary Accident in North American Mountaineering.

Seems as good a place as any to have Mark Twight on for a story or two

What I have been waiting for.
There is something to be said about a well made publication and podcast. The pinnacle of mountaineering podcasts, the Alpinist is my new go to for the verticals world. Others try, but they come off so amateurish that you lose the story. Well done Alpinist.

    Brutal honesty...
Was stoked to listen to the Jimmy Chin episode but... I can’t be the first to say this: the host’s voice made me want to cut my ears off with a sharp stick & throw them in the campfire. Had to zero the volume for everyone of her questions...
  • Wolverine-Dream
    The Mountain Spirit
This is an insightful podcast that delves into the minds of mountain-inspired people. Great stuff.
