Great job guys!

After the 2024 election in the US, I decided to turn off all social media and get Lost. I had never seen the show and tuned out whenever anyone talked about it. I decided to go full nerd, create an experience and pick a podcast to help me get the most out of the series. I searched for the right spoiler-free team to accompany me on my journey. My plane crashed onto the island November 22nd 2024. I shared thanksgiving with the survivors. I just started season 5 and wanted to take a break to send my love to Jake and Jack, wherever you are. This podcast was exactly what I was looking for. UPDATE: I just finished episode 10 of season 6. That is as far as The Lost Boys have gone. Jacob, I refuse to finish without you. If you truly are with us all the way through, you better get back to it or I will be marooned forever. Will you be a hero or a villain?

I didn’t start watching lost until covid hit. Yes I know I know … but I’m on my third re watch now ! I came across this channel by accident and pleasantly surprised by the hosts. I do worry thi that it ends ok season 6… I’m going to be so upset if y’all don’t finish this . Thanks

Found this through the Down the Hatch podcast. lost Boys brings back so much nostalgia, a connection with my first watch. Jack and Jacob are genuine, charming and fun. I find myself getting excited waiting for Jack to react to important episodes.

I’m watching lost for the first time with my Mom who watched it back when it was originally on. I was looking for a non spoiler podcast that wasn’t over an hour long. That I could listen to after I watched each episode. I binged the first ten episodes and it’s perfect! I absolutely love their dynamic and while I’m watching I keep thinking ‘what’s Jack or Jacob gonna think about this?’

I was in the middle of season 3 listening to their episodes and then they all got pulled. Not sure what’s going on. The episodes also got pulled from Spotify. There is no way to listen to any old episodes except for the two latest. What a bummer!! I was really getting into the podcast. I’ll give a better rating if the episodes come back. Episodes are back. Re-rated it and gave it 5 stars!!! LOVE this podcast!!

As a first time listener, I appreciate Jack’s prospective. And I love Jacob’s knowledge of Lost. A very well matched duo indeed. Life happens so I understand season 6 took a while to get to but am very excited to get into it as I see the first eps just dropped today! Hurray! Well done, boys.

Hi guys, great to hear that Season 6 is finally underway, as I am closing in by starting Season 4 today. Great podcast as always! However, Jack got you this time, Jake, on the HO concept. Jack said that there had to be more than just the H-8, O-15 AND THERE WAS! If you take Ho to be one of the elements in the periodic table, you will find out that it is Holmium, one of the rarest of Earth elements that also has the HIGHEST MAGNETIC PROPERTIES OF ANY OTHER ELEMENT! Considering the magnetic effects on the island, we can assume the island was flush with Holmium! Pretty cool, and congrats to Jack (although I still wonder why such an avid LOTR fan can't tell the difference between Merry and Pippen:)!

Jack, I know what you mean about not wanting things to end so not going on. But just like in once upon a time, which I highly recommend you boys doing a podcast for, you will find a happy ending. Just remember it’s all about the journey. Enjoy season six. See you at the end.

Let me begin by saying I absolutely love your podcast! I am a mail carrier and have thoroughly enjoyed listening to your reviews. I am so sad that I have come to the end of season five finale and it has been months since and no review of season six yet. Please tell me that you will be doing season six. I absolutely have to know what Jack feels about the last season. I will also add that I loved the end of the season immensely. Please please please start season six especially since I left you a five star review lol. Take care.

I’ve started rewatching (only for the second time), taking in maybe 2-3 episodes each Saturday night (what can I say, it’s an exciting life). I wrapped up Season 1 and was hoping to find a podcast where the hosts would delve into some of the theories, and came across this one, and I love it. The dynamic between Jack and Jacob is fun - I love Jack’s cynicism along with Jacob’s adoration, plus their experience in the industry gives a nice perspective, too. I’ve enjoyed the interviews and guest stars as well. On Sunday mornings, I put on the coffee and settle into my comfy chair and take in as many podcasts as episodes as I watched the night before, and as of this morning, I’m wrapping up the podcast for “Exposé,” which is pretty deep into Season 3. An aside - I hope Jack’s new job is going well; I hope for a bit more detail in future podcasts! I tend to be very late the game - I was late to my initial viewing of Lost, and I figured the same was true for my discovery of this podcast. So it was cool to learn that they’re only into Season 5. I have a week off later this month and was planning to do some serious binging, but I may pace myself so that I don’t have to wait for the podcast. I’m pretty bad at math, but even without a serious binge, I might catch up with your pod releases toward the very end of the series. I reckon that would be ok - we can all experience it together! For what it’s worth, I listen on Spotify but couldn’t find a way to leave a review over there. Thank you for all of your hard work and commitment to this project!

I’m a big fan of these guys! I don’t know if it’s because I really do like their personalities or if I just find their “British-ness” so dang endearing. It helps every show/movie (besides Lost) they bring up are bangers, as well! I hope they continue to make podcasts - Fringe rewatch, please!? Being able to tune in for their insight made my 4th time rewatching Lost much more enjoyable!!

I’m curious if Jack wants to see how this show pans out. ——- Review from months ago: I’m a first time watcher of LOST, my husband watched it when it aired all those years ago, and so we are having a blast watching this show together. This podcast is a fun companion to have while watching it for the first time, no spoilers! It’s fun to hear how excited Jacob is for Jack to watch every single episode. Love hearing his “cringe” when Jacob finds something cringeworthy or silly from the show. Their friendship is endearing. Really enjoying their discussions! I told my husband before we started to watch LOST, that he and I should do a recap podcast about each episode and welp, shortly after saying that, I found this podcast doing exactly that! Too funny.

This is the best LOST podcast. It’s the perfect blend of love fest and gentle mockery that LOST calls for. Rewatching the show after a decade, I missed having people to talk to about LOST, like I did back in the day. Listening to the LOST Boys has helped fill that void. I enjoy Jacob’s enthusiasm, his knowledge of the show, how much he loves Juliet, and his willingness to take up the cause of “Jate.” And I appreciate Jack’s fresh analysis, often surprisingly good predictions, and eagerness to critique the show’s flaws when appropriate, even as he’s clearly become a fan. I’ve tried some other podcasts that I found more meandering or self-indulgent. The LOST Boys are a pleasant contrast to that. Jacob seems well-prepared with notes and keeps the conversation focused. I also appreciate the purity of this podcast. They’re not trying to sell anything. It’s a labor of love. Which is why I can’t complain too much about the fact that they clearly don’t seem to have time to do it anymore. But I hope they find the time to get through season 6 in not too many more months (or years). And I hope when they’re done, they start again at the beginning and do a spoiler-friendly version of the LOST Boys!

I am just getting around to writing a review even though I have been following along since Jacob’s interview with Evangeline Lilly hit the news. I am one of those people who gets excited to see a new episode pop up and can’t wait to hear what the lost boys thought of the latest Lost episode. Although Jacob is a super fan I do like that they are critical of all characters when those characters deserve it. Overall awesome podcast that helps me relive the Lost episodes even when it’s been a while since I last saw them.

I found this podcast recently because of a mention elsewhere, and now I'm rewatching Lost (again!) and listening along. I enjoy every single episode. Please do Fringe next, that's my favorite show!

Love this podcast with unspoiled Jack Shepherd & rewatcher Jacob on their journey into Lost. Just found it and am binging through it as fast as I can while I am working, sewing at a clothing company in Leadville, Colorado in the US. I hope to catch up before you finish! PS: my birthday is 15 November & my dad is 16 November so I have always been obsessed with the Lost numbers.

This wasn’t the first lost podcast I tried, but it’s the only one I continued to listen to. Jacob brings the excitement and love for the show that we love to hear and Jack brings the healthy skepticism and open-mindedness that makes it enjoyable to listen along. I’ve listened to every episode and I will be here till the end.

Just finished breaking bad and figured I’d keep crossing shows off my never seen list. My fiancé has watched this before but it’s my first time. Loving it and this podcast is fantastic - we both listen to it in between episodes. Thanks for making the show even more entertaining with this podcast!

I have been listening to each episode while rewatching Lost the past several months. I have now caught up with the Lost Boys. I thoroughly enjoy the friendly banter and lighthearted instigating between the two of them. Jacob does a great job of guiding the conversation without spoiling anything for Jack and those watching for the first time. Jack seems to be avoiding most spoilers while guessing where future episodes might venture. I cannot help but laugh at the depth of Jacob’s fandom and the occasional episode where Jack cannot bother to feign interest. I appreciate them allowing us to go on this journey with them.

Couple good blokes here, really like their British accents. Can’t get enough of their accents. Jolly good accents. Good stuff all around, especially their accents. Makes me wish I were a little British, a little English, even a little UKey—whatever the bloody hell that means. Anywho, cheers and i heart fuutball.

I watched LOST for the first time when my daughter was a baby. Just recently, my husband and I decided it was time for our almost 15-year-old girl to watch LOST. She loved it! This is the perfect podcast for our current situation. Re-watch LOST from the beginning while listening along to the podcast. You will hear things that you didn’t catch originally plus they offer some great insight and they’ve (mostly Jacob) done lots of research and they even offer some insider info.

Absolutely great LOST watch-a-long podcast. Audio quality aside lol, Jacob is a great expert who is very good at not spoiling nearly anything while prodding Jack with questions to make him think about the show. Great segments, great chemistry, and great show!

It’s a lot of two men in their twenties calling people “annoying” without elaboration. Also Jack apparently can’t stand Claire or Kate for no clearly defined reason, and he is underwhelmed by EVERYTHING. A regular third chair would improve this podcast—someone with a few more references, life experience, or emotional confidence.

Really like how it’s 2 totally different perspectives since Jack is watching for the first time. Really enjoying so far! Got on the train pretty late but excited to keep listening!

Great podcast if you want to find yourself grinning like an idiot with sheer excitement at experiencing LOST in a new and enjoyable way! PS- Glad to know I wasn't the only one crafting endless LOST related lists along the way.

This is one of my favorite podcasts. My wife, our 14-year old son, and I happened into the Lost world when our daughter went off to college. I found this podcast when we were at the same point they were in the show. The premise of two friends, one a newbie one experienced, is brilliant. The repartee is top notch. Jack’s guesses are spot on, and Jacob is a charming host. I especially like ‘number watch’. Keep it up fellas, you have a great thing going . . .

UPDATE: started strong, but now the release schedule is too inconsistent for me to want to keep up with it. Lost Boys turned into a running advertisement for their other podcast about Watchmen. I gotta say, I might have been a convert if it weren’t for the way this OG podcast of theirs now runs - we all started listening cuz we wanted to hear about LOST, not Watchmen! And erratically releasing episodes after huge teases about how regularly they’re gonna come out isn’t cool. I’m done with it. Trying to get a newbie into LOST and have been looking up companion pcasts. Aside from the audio quality, these guys are where it’s at. The expert viewer is PERFECT about not spoiling anything, genuinely 100% better than the guy on “Getting LOST” who drops two huge spoilers in the first 8 minutes of their podcast after swearing he’d do no such thing. This pcast’s expert reminds me a lot of myself in terms of the absolute glee he clearly gets (completely between the lines, of course) from hearing what his novice buddy has to say about each episode and character. If you can’t find a new friend who has never before seen an episode of LOST to gleefully relive the experience through, this podcast is the next best thing!

I’m watching Lost again with my 11 year old daughter. She’s watching it for the first time and I’m watching it for the third. Like Jacob, it’s one of my favorite shows. I happened to find this podcast just after we watched the 2 part pilot. I’ve absolutely enjoyed Jacob and Jack’s chemistry and their insight. While my kid is enjoying Lost there’s only so much dissecting of each episode that we can do at her age. She’s been growing apart a bit from me over the last year but the series has been one thing we do together. I’ve borrowed The Lost Boys’ ideas by having her make predictions and rate each episode. BTW. I felt indifferent towards the ending. Mainly because I didn’t quite get it. Some years have passed since I last rewatched and I’m curious if I’ll feel the same or maybe Jacob can explain it to me better than the cast did on Jimmy Kimmel.

Great Podcast, I love it. As a fan of lost, it’s been a great experience listening to Jack’s predictions and impressions. Jack and Jacob have great chemistry which makes for a great show. Keep up the great work!

Ok this show has improved. I will be honest I tried to unsubscribe and somehow it didnt work. Must be a the Island not being done with me lol. So I kept listing and the podcast has grown on me. if you ra Lost fan its definitly an enjoyable listen. would love to hear deeper discusions but since one of the host is new to the show not much can be said. keep it up i plan to stick it out! Previous review 3 stars I would say this podcast could be really good. but the quality of the sound as well as English accents make it hard to often hear what they are saying. plus both guys sound similar so its not easy to know which one is talking. Ive listend to a few shows already and It is always unclear what they are talking about.
