Honestly mma podcasts fall into 2 categories it’s either a guy with 0 charisma giving his betting picks or an employee of a major organization giving you the most middle of the road on the fence takes imaginable, but Brian manages to keep the listeners engaged with witty humor and transparency with his life and experiences in the sport along with some insightful picks every single week. 10/10 best mma podcast on the market

Honestly pretty slim pickings out there when it comes to MMA podcast so finding this one has been awesome. There’s plenty of knowledgeable people and plenty of entertaining people out there in MMA media but painfully few that are both. Brian is a treasure.

I found about Brian through the Anik & Florian podcast and I enjoyed listening to his analysis enough to check out his own podcast. This Cincinnati man gives analytical breakdowns of how he sees the fights going and has been on the money so far in 2022. Love his personality and listening to his Pick Em’s & Recap episodes. I highly recommend this podcast especially to those that like to put a dollar down or two on UFC fights.

I have been a fan of the MMA Takes Podcast for years. Brian’s confidence and quality has continued to develop. His self deprecating humor and down to earth attitude has made him a must listen to for me in my MMA podcast schedule. Brian’s tight and thoughtful breakdowns are great. The chemistry with his PPV pickem buddies, Christian and Timbo is entertaining and helpful for any better looking to make some coin. Keep up the good work my man.

FREE (reliable) picks. That statement should say enough, but here’s a bit more.. As someone who loves to bet on fights, I consume a LOT of UFC content… Everything from ESPN analysts to amateur handicappers. I can confidently say that this podcast is now second only to my favorite UFC show— Anik & Florian, which is of course where I first witnessed Brian’s noteworthy passion for fights. Now here I am…coming to the source! It may not have all the fancy trimmings (yet), but this podcast does exactly what Brian says it will… Makes you money! And you get to be entertained along the way. What he doesn’t mention, is how much more informed it makes you of the sport and the fighters themselves. This dude has a wealth of knowledge about MMA, and it is clear how long he has been a ride or die fan of the UFC. All of his picks seem to be backed by well-informed research, or at least a credible amount of experience from watching countless fights. He adds a bit of humor and a lot of personality to his takes, and spices up the show by sharing some personal life stuff on occasion. Everyone appreciates a person who tells it like it is, and Brain is that guy! If handicapping UFC fights was a sport of it’s own, Brian would be the highest paid athlete. Give this guy the fast track to an analyst desk. Coach, fighter, bookie… His takes can hang with the best of them.

Stumbled onto this podcast after hearing him on Anik & Florian. This guy is hilarious and his picks have been mostly correct. I listen to about 3-4 MMA podcasts per week for entertainment and to prepare for Saturdays. What makes this one different is that it doesn’t take hours to listen to and is 95% picks and analysis without any boring filler. The guy doesn’t take himself or MMA too seriously but at the same time has obviously put in hours and hours into his picks. It’s the combination of passion/energy/humor/technical accuracy that is usually very difficult to balance, and he has found a way to hit that balancing point perfectly IMHO. For MMA betting analysis this has become my favorite bc of the right mix of accuracy and entertainment. Highest recommendation. I think this is only the second or third podcast review I have done. It takes a lot for me to actually sit down and write something like this, but I thought I was necessary when he said there was only 30 or 40 reviews on his last podcast. I’m sure there are a lot of ppl out there like me who listen to this guy and haven’t written one yet. Can’t think of a more deserving podcast. Keep up the great work, your show is a gem. I doubt it remains hidden for long though because great work has a habit of becoming well known eventually.

Happy to say I’ve been listening for a good two three years. Way before the Anik and Florian appearances. Show became way better after you got rid of that fishing guy who just flip floooed during his analysis. Brian Timbo and Christian are the right combo

I love this podcast so much! It’s so enthusiastically done like no man what so ever. He could go up against the singer of Gangnam style and the narwhal song and still have better commentary. This man is brilliant among men, Einstein, and that one guy in a wheelchair. If he had is own television show it would be the mma Big Bang.

Great stuff

Host Brian puts out quality MMA content twice a week breaking down the upcoming card and then another reviewing fight results. Length of show is perfect @ ~1hr and fits in detailed fight analysis and some light comedy. Sound quality is professional and host has the skills of a career radio personality. A top podcast of many MMA shows.

This guy is amazing! Hands down best MMA podcast out there. My daughter and I sit and listen to him all the time! And I have to say, I agree with that other review on just how gd handsome he sounds. His voice is so strong and charming. I bet his legs are super muscular too.
