Killed it with the '30-Day Breakup Detox…' episode. As usual, I'm obsessed with these quick, yet in-depth and effective solo episodes. Thank you Jay 🩷

    Awful
If you are looking to listen to the most boring podcast, this is for you. If you are looking for the worst podcast, this is it.

    Phenomenal Listen
I first heard about Jay when I read his book, “Think Like a Monk” and this book really guided me in the goal I was hoping to accomplish to create peace of mind. I enjoy listening to his guests and also his solo podcasts about various topics that are super helpful to apply to our own life. Jay, if you’re reading this I hope you continue to inspire and I may have found the poem you were looking for and mentioned in Esther’s interview. The poem is called, “This Brick Wall” by Rene Bennett. Thank you for your wisdom!

This relationship expert is a clown.
Sounds like this expert just hates women. Not even gonna finish the episode, J.

    A seat for everyone…😖
Just letting anyone on this dang podcast at this point…no morals or integrity. Claudia Oshry…that’s low. 2/12/2025

    Essential Growth Tool
This is by far one of my favorite podcasts. I’ve listened to it over the years while I do my daily walks. I am always learning and growing from the guests and Jays content. If your growth minded this is the podcast for you!

    Sellout
I used to be in love with this podcast especially during covid. I was so inspired by Jay and his wife. Especially since he had multiple celebrities that I’ve been influenced by.. Then I realized when P@lestine happened .. they were silent.. they had so much reach and pull to influence and speak out about gen0cide .. and stayed quiet . It was truly disgusting and made me realize he’s a sell out just like the rest of them. Shame really

A fraud. A charlatan. Not even a monk
Read the guardian article about him. He’s all about money $$$. And he’s fake doing it too. Despicable.

    Let them
I absolutely love the show, but the recent one with Mel was a game changer! So fantastic—thank you, Jay and Mel!

    He’s a hack
All ads, & it’s been proved Jay has no credibility- just regurgitating what other self help ppl have already said.

    Irritating
This episode with Bryan Johnson is hands down one of the most irritating podcasts I have ever listened to. In one sentence he claims to be humble and the second he claims to be elite status in all aspects of human form. It makes me wants to do the opposite of every ridiculous suggestion he makes. He’s selling himself the entire episode which is what episodes on this show do nowadays. Full of advertisements throughout the episode and within it.

    I’ve let them
I’ve sat many people down to have the conversation. Most have walked away. I let them. 🥰

Thank you for Helping me recovery from Surgery
Jay, I had back surgery less than a month ago. I have been listening to On Purpose and want you to know you are inspiring me and helping with my recovery. I have started writing the book I’ve always wanted to because you said I should just do it! This is the year of “Learning” for me 😉 I do need to give credit to my brother who has also been my inspiration. He practices mindfulness and got me started practicing a couple years ago. He also wrote a book on the mindfulness of playing sports. It’s called “On The Ball” by Michael Lodewyks if anyone wants to check it out. Mindfulness combined with your inspiration through On Purpose has definitely helped me on my journey to recovery. Physical but more important mental and emotional recovery from pain. Thank you from the bottom of my heart!❤️

    Commercials are long and frequent…brutal
How many minutes of commercials do we need in a 25 minute podcast? Not this many

    Trauma episode
I used to like this podcast a lot more. Bob Proctor stuff is great. The Laverne Cox (episode) who I’ve always really enjoyed as an actress, really turned me off when she talked about elitism yet mentioned how statistically Republicans are less educated/intelligent. Shocked this wasn’t cut. Pretty insulting.

    Interesting topics but
Lots of ads! It’s tough listening to an entire episode without getting stressed about the ads.

    Used to love this podcast
I used to love this podcast but now I don’t. I don’t identify with any of the guests and some interviews are all around the place. I miss the old podcast

    Lost its substance
I followed this podcast when Jay very first started years ago, and so disappointed to see where it’s gone. Littered with ads and questionable celebrities sharing what they call, “wisdom”. Such a shame, but it was great while it lasted.

    Some Good stuff
Actually there is some gold in this podcast, if you can get through all the ads. In a recent episode I listened to, there were literally 4 mins of commercials before the episode even started -and then the episode was frequently interrupted to give me more commercials.

    Ads throughout episodes!!
I can understand if you want to put an ad or two at the beginning or end, but there are ads in the beginning, the middle, near the end, and at the end! What the heck! It’s hard for me to keep track of what I’m even listening to because there are so many ads!

    Commercialism sold as Wellness
How can they seriously put out this consumerism laden podcast and tie it to wellness and well being?! I really enjoy what he espouses but it has the whiff of snake oil salesmanship with the interminable ads and sponsored collaborations. They need to rethink their model as it completely undermines the messaging and is disarmingly disingenuous.

Used to love this podcast, but the ads now! 😖
I used to love listening to this podcast, and while I understand advertising is an important part of income, I have become incredibly disappointed to hear ads for traditional pharmaceutical and insurance companies. In the past, I used to feel the ads Jay took on were more in-line with what he preaches. But I feel like the recent addition of drug and insurance companies, is just a money grab. Taking this off my go-to podcast list, sadly. Just personal preference; I know not everyone will agree.

    Too many adds
Super frustrating to interrupt a podcast with multiple commercial ads
  • Cozy26
Shifting from scarcity mindset to abundance
    Validating and powerful information!
  • BH1581
    Too many adds
I like the content, but I listen with earbuds while doing things and today I was frustrated with the task while on a 2+ minute add break without my phone around to skip at all… and the content is so full of adds that I decided to unfollow. Honestly, think I’m just tired of everything being an avenue to advertise, and needing to on guard to not be taken advantage of. I’m frustrated by a show that promotes ways of getting your money with the hope of a better life if you buy these things.

    Raising up Jordan Peterson
Allowing a person like Jordan Peterson, a person filled with hate and an ugly soul, to speak on “On Purpose” goes against the premise of Jay’s podcast. Do better.

    Never Disappoints!
I’m convinced that Jay Shetty is one of the wisest, integrity-filled human I’ve ever had the pleasure to learn from. I first heard him on the Calm app, then his podcast, then his book. Sorry it took so long for me to review!

So when did you first get notice of a monk? Lies be catching up. And all these diddy celebrities…🤔

    Jay Shetty is a Charlatan
If your therapist recommends this then should fire them or they should lose their license. This man is a hack profiting off of people’s fears and stupidity. There are plenty of therapy podcasts. Please do not listen to this man who has been dishonest and fraudulent about his past and his schooling/accolades
  • jlee8686
    Another Joel Osteen
I enjoy this type of podcast so I gave it a chance. He comes across as disingenuous and then I learned of his misrepresentations and lies about his past… Why lie about it?? So bizarre.

How can anyone trust this man in light of his lies and greed? We live in an age where 1500 years of actual wisdom from all corners of the world is available to us - please don’t follow these charlatans.

Thank you for this incredible, honest conversation. There were so many insights. I could listen to it again and again and hear something new and inspiring every time. I became a fan of the person of Jelly Roll in addition to his music. This is a must listen!!

    Hey Jay
Thank you for introducing me to the real Jelly Roll (Jason), a name I will never refer to him as but is relevant to me because the man I love is named Jason. So I may have enjoyed “Jelly” a little more. Fabulous interview'”Alison Schuback

    Love the info
This is an amazing podcast with great information to help with any mental health challenges you are facing. I just wish there were fewer sponsors, 4+ minutes of commercials before it kicks off is a lot of commercials.
  • LuisAngel23
    Way too many ads
I get it, but I feel like the ads have become excessive. Shouldn’t feel like a show with commercials every 10 minutes.
  • Angie Hunter
    Disapointed
I’ve been listening off & on since this podcast came out. It didn’t seem like it was gonna go in this direction. The ads are the worst & for products I’m sure Jay & his wife never use. Why try to get us to give money to these big corp? I skip the celebrities so I almost never listen anymore. Surprised Huberman is on with all the stuff out about him lately. :/
