I have really enjoy listening to the UI Narrative podcast. As someone new into the UX field and not knowing anything about it before, it serves as a good resource for foundational knowledge and confidence building. Confidence in knowing that everyone’s path to UX is not conventional and this is what makes it a fascinating field to be in. Tolu is also super personable and generous with her knowledge. I wish everyone had someone like her when marking a career transition.

UI Narrative is definitely my top podcast. I was immediately hooked after listening to the first show. I am a black UX designer and representation is so important in this field and very rare. It is surprising how many gems I have gained from this show. This podcast has an amazing host who brings on awesome guests!!! 10/10 would definitely recommend listening.

She also provides services where you can schedule one-on-one time with her or have her review your portfolio, which I will definitely be utilizing in the near future. With all the resources that she provides, you can tell Tolu’s super passionate about her work. And she frequently discusses the importance of WOC representation within tech, which I also find inspiring and uplifting! I’ve been researching UX/UI podcasts and looking for something to connect with beyond good content. The UI Narrative was exactly what I didn’t know I needed. For black/brown creatives and techies, this one is for you/us. Great content, funny/intelligent, authentic with cultural swag. I am looking forward to hearing more and learning along the way. I enjoyed the first few episodes I listened to of this episode. I even added it to my “favorite podcasts” list. However, a couple more episodes later, the profanity started to pour out. The b-word mentioned at the end of an episode to say “I’m out this b-word” was unnecesaary and surprised me. The tone and brand of this podcast—from my listening experience—doesn’t even align with profanity. I prefer podcasts that I can listen to in the car while my toddler son is riding with me. Besides the profanity, the content is great, and I’m sure some others may not mind the profanity. But I have a ton of other UX podcasts that I enjoy (which don’t use extreme profanity). I’ll stick to those. Again, great content though! I’ve enjoyed most of it so far.

My favorite design podcast. I can't wait to hear more! Tolu gives really actionable tips and seems so relatable. Other podcasts feature more seasoned design professionals, which is useful. But they face very different challenges than millennials trying to enter the ui/ux design space face in 2019/20. This podcast feels much more relatable and therefore is particularly inspiring. This podcast makes me feel like my dreams are attainable and like by listening, I am getting closer to those dreams.

This is a good informative podcast for artist in the world of UI and UX. It tells the perspective UI and UX through the experiences of graphic artists. So far this podcast is mostly informative, but I hope there will be another regular cohost to chime in and commentate on UI/UX design and make it more fun.
