Having just entered veterinary medicine, this podcast has been entertaining and informative. Thank you for helping me unwind after a long day at the hospital and inspire me to be a future tech. with more and more knowledge each day.

Not a veterinarian, just a human nurse and dedicated cat mom who loves some evidence-based discussion about pet care! I absolutely devoured the TNR and snake-oil episodes. Would love an episode on the controversial topic of raw diets for cats and dogs.

Learned a lot from this episode like tail wagging doesn’t necessarily mean a dog is friendly and dry nose doesn’t mean a dog is sick. I also liked the quiz format which led to interesting stories and good discussion.

I am so glad I stumbled upon The Vets Unleashed! I've listened to just about every episode over the course of about a week, and I have to say, Dr. Mike and Dr. Scott feel like friends at this point! I was so excited today when I saw the Season 5 sneak peek had been released. I'm so grateful for the peek behind the curtain that this podcast offers into the life of vets (the secret life of vets, haha). I had no idea how much veterinary medicine is a labor of love. Dr. Mike and Dr. Scott have shown me that it takes immense guts, sacrifice, and emotional resilience to be an animal doctor. We have a lot to learn from the vets in our lives. I'll be tuning in to Season 5. I hope to get my friends hooked on season 5 so we can listen together!

We need more humanizing conversations around animals, and this podcast is exactly that. So thoughtful and sweet!

Just listened to first ep. So excited to have a new podcast for my daily dog walks. You guys are awesome! 🥰

The hosts in a handful of episodes were judging and disparaging the merits of “Eastern Medicine”. The history of “Western Medicine” looking down on “Eastern” practices is steeped in imperialism and xenophobia. Additionally, there is a known disparity between Global North and Global South countries in the allocation of scientific funds for robust studies to provide evidence supporting the efficacy of “Eastern traditional medicine”. Dismissing possible therapies or treatments as snake oil purely because the clinical trials and studies don’t exist does not mean they are inefficacious! Not to mention how some “traditional” therapies/treatments become popularized by society, therein making access to said products harder for the original users (especially in regards to indigenous peoples and their traditional ingredients/sources for treatments/therapies). Two white, middle-aged cis-men do not have the cultural standing to disparage culture(s) from utilizing their traditional practices, let alone decide what is or isn’t efficacious. I’m pretty disappointed…honestly expected more from this podcast/these hosts :(

I am surprised to find that vets can be charming. What great guests you have. Keep it up, Dr. Mike and Dr. Scott.

I love dr. Mike on this show and IRL. I love dr. Scott on this show and IRL. They’re so smart and so funny and so in it for the animals and the people who care about em. This show makes me want to pour a drink and hang out with them — lucky for me they always have a new cocktail recipe to encourage for each episode! Learn a lot and love a lot- tune in!

The best podcast for a good laugh and awesome advice for my beloved dog and I. Please come back! We miss you!

I love the content of this show! The only reason I’m not leaving a 5 star review is because 1. The recording is so quiet that when I’m listing on full volume on my commute, I still have trouble hearing the Podcast. 2. I think another reason I have trouble understanding what is being said is due to the audio being sped up to the point both doctor’s voices come out an octave higher, where I will have to reluctantly stop listening from getting a sound sensitivity induced headache. I have tried to share my love of this podcast with other people, and every single referral could not get into the show for the same reasons. Audio editing aside, 5/5 stars content wise. Please keep up the good work!!

I am 2nd year vet student and l love listening to this podcast when I am studying. They talk about a lot of hot topics that we cover in school and in the veterinary community. Would like to see an episode with a vet student. Highly recommend this podcast for anyone in the vet field or vet school.

As a veterinarian myself, something in every episode has either made me laugh out loud or thoughtfully reflect. Often both! I encourage everyone involved in our profession and pet lovers of all types to listen to Dr. Scott and Dr. Mike on “The Vets Unleashed”!

I love hearing these guys talk about animal related topics. You can tell they are having a great time. It’s all very funny, intelligent, informative. If you’re a pet owner or animal lover, it’s fun to listen to.

I am a pre-veterinary student and I listen to this podcast religiously. It’s informative, funny, and overall just a great listen. Although, I would’ve appreciated a Halloween special with some veterinary clinic related ghost stories, maybe next year OR this month? LOL

I love Dr. Mike and Scott!! The topics are always very interesting and I find myself agreeing or giving my opinion out loud, hahaha. I’m currently in school on my path to become a vet tech and some of the topics in the podcast are ones we talk about in class. I’m so happy to have found this podcast, I tell all my classmates about it! You both are amazing!! I also love the drinks you guys put together (have yet to try one). Love you guys!! I had the pleasure of meeting Dr. Scott through a brief working interview and mentioned his podcast, a little late to the game on listening, but I have enjoyed the content. I mean Dr. Mike is as hot as Hansel right now, but Dr Scott is the perfect counterpart. I’m a vet and I don’t like listening to more vet med when I’m off but I listen to these two!!

This is a great podcast for Animals lovers! A frank, candid view of a world we deeply rely on, done with love and humor. Highly recommended. (Dr. Mike and his fabulous team just did a few surgical procedures on my older pug yesterday and he's doing great). FYI.

I just binged on the 1st 3 episodes -Scott and Mike capture the reality of life in veterinary practice -which really is as much about people as about animals. A must-listen for veterinarians, veterinary technicians, veterinary nurses, practice managers, assitants...and pet owners who truly want to understand what it is like on our side of the stethescope. Love it!
