His insights are relevant to both new and experienced collectors and the topics cover the spectrum of collecting cardboard. Very informative and personal. This is now my favorite hobby podcast. With so many podcasts out there now with the hobby exploding, this is one of the ones I do not miss. Mike is a great speaker and his topics are always on point.

I recently found this podcast and only listen to three episodes so far but definitely helpful and this is coming from somebody who sold online for 25 years and owned a store for two years. Been collecting since 1975 and already found a couple of helpful hints in my collecting and selling. Keep up the great work(pkerplyr on sportlots and eBay)

I just got back into collecting cards after a long break in collecting during the junk card period. Was gifted the first Gwynn Project 2020 from my brother and didn’t think much of it, but last month when I saw what was available my collecting instinct took over. While buying Project 2020 cards, I discovered the Topps Living Set and as a result I discovered Waxpackhero which also had a blog on the set. The podcast is easy to listen to, well produced, concise and covers many interesting topics relevant to the hobby. I’ve enjoyed learning from each episode and look forward to hearing more from Mike Sommer.

I love this podcast. Mike actually gives you actionable ideas to use in your collecting and selling efforts. Other podcast that review new releases or talk about their favorite Royal not named George Brett are fun to listen to, but do not help me become a better collector. Great job Mike - keep it up! DanB

Love listening to these. Took 20 years off from collecting so this has been a great walk down memory lane when talking about old food issues etc but also helping acclimate to the current collecting environment.

This podcast is a must if you are even THINKING about selling or trading your collection. Mike’s short format is a fantastic way to digest information and makes you think. If you think you can’t do it; yes you can!!

I found Mike’s WaxPackHero Podcast just recently and it immediately hit my soul. I’ve been collecting for 30 yrs, always making my purchases a business decision. Mike is one of the first to approach the Hobby in a way that keeps your PC growing w/o hurting your bank account. 5 Stars for sure, looking forward to hearing more. Well done Sir!

Mike’s show is a good listen. It’s got something in it all levels. I’ve been collecting buying and selling for 30+ years. Mike’s shows with COMC knowledge and info on card show prep as well as other avenues to get information on the hobby and the business of cards has been quite a pleasant find. Thanks Mike

Having collected off and on for 45+ years I recently returned to collecting thru social media. I was growing leery of staying in the hobby because already the troll component of social media raised its ugly head. Bickering, sniping etc run rampant. Then @WatchtheBreaks suggested this podcast based on Mike’s episode Quit Collecting cards. Wax pack hero indeed. The simple suggestions are always the best. I already unfollowed a few folks who had me on edge. I explored a few other episodes and wow this is perfect for me a new/old collector with a specific collecting agenda. And I don’t pick up on Mike having an agenda which is nice. Well done and Mike you have a new subscriber.

Mike’s show is perfect because he provides in-depth information and keeps shows short and sweet. He doesn’t drown you with needless information or fillers. It’s the perfect length for an easy listen.

The podcast is a good listen, and I like that Mike gives you lots of useful information on how to make money selling but still collect at the same time. He doesn’t seem motivated by the next big thing, but is more focused on how you can make your collection self sustaining financially for the long term - which is refreshing compared to some of the other podcasts out there.

Mike’s podcast are succinct and full of very helpful information to maximize your enjoyment, build the collection you want and maybe make a few dollars to help self-sustain your collection.
