Can’t believe it took me this long to find you!
I literally cannot think of a single thing to say negative about this podcast. Narration = perfect. Production = perfect. After the first season of subjects that have been covered by way too many other podcast? The remaining seasons = perfect. I love everything about this show even the way they don’t stick ads in your face in the middle of it. I hope very much it lives long and prosperous.

    Stories are good
The narration is horrible. I’d prefer a transatlantic voice over this weird slowed down talk to text style narrator

Cassandra is amazing! A new holiday classic!
I have been listening to and enjoying Jim Harold’s podcasts for years. I am completely blown away by Cassandra’s narration of Charles Dickens’ A Christmas Carol. Her performance is an instant holiday classic, and a brand new tradition for my family!! Thank you!! Happy Holidays!

    Hmm
Just cause you talk reallly slow to squeeze out and extra minute or two makes me want a 3x speed added to the player.. and I get the vibes of someone who is bored and says hey can I do what you do and you help me .. I’ll just read stories so there’s no real work I have to do.. but yeh.. gave it many tries.. but I’m sure my opinion will trigger a lot of people with no lives.. but hey it’s America 🇺🇸 and I’m free to have my own opinion.. sorry I’m not one of those people that give a medal for participating… 🏅👎🏼

I have really enjoyed this podcast since the first time I heard it. I especially enjoyed the HP Lovecraft story. If you aren’t listening to this podcast Whats Your Excuse??

    Voices
I don’t like how she used different voices in the latest episode, it was really cringey.

    Research carefully
You mispronounce “Hmong.” It seems like it should be “mung,” like mung beans, but it’s not. Probably would have helped to consult someone from the Hmong community before publishing.

    I like it
I just started listening to a few episodes. I like it. Cassandra would be good at narrating any book.

Not sure when I will dream again!
Love this brilliant podcast. It is historical, cteative and Cassandra’s voice is soothing and lyrical. At points there is an air of the sinister. Refreshing and highly teccommendef!!!!

    Great stuff!
Just wanted to let Cassandra know re “sticking to what you know”. Previous review.. if that person wasn’t creeped out by the irresponsible actions of people I don’t know what would be creepier. We grow by pushing the boundaries. If it is interesting to the podcaster why not share it? This is your space! Do not let small minds box you in!

    Amazing
    Love the stories!

    Still love the show, but….
But watch out for episodes like the last one (#26, about John Wayne and nuclear testing), which had nothing to do with the paranormal or general creepiness (the subjects/factors for which listeners subscribe), and instead was about how the government was irresponsible towards the citizenry in the 1950s. People tune in to this show and others like it to be creeped out and entertained, not get a civics lesson or political lecture. Stick to what you’re good at, creepy/scary stories (not politics).

These episodes are well researched. She reads them well, keeping the suspense going.

    Very well researched and produced
Been a long time fan of Jim Harold Media. Great show and very well researched topics. You may have thought you have heard all there is about the discussed dark topics but you would be wrong. Great voice and great atmospheric music.

This is a great podcast for people not so familiar with the paranormal and it would merit a 5 star rate if the speaking wasn’t so painfully slow that it even sounds slow on 2x speed. The slow speech is however perfect for nights when you can’t fall asleep.

    Great Podcast with True Potential
Every aspect of this podcast is very professional and production quality is excellent! With that said, I have one suggestion that I truly feel would broaden your audience, and expand your listener demographic. I might be a bit of an listener anomaly due to my fascination with and long time interest in all things paranormal. Perhaps because of my familiarity with the genre, many of the topics chosen are stories with which I’m already familiar. That said, I’ll bet that many like-minded people are drawn to the theme of your program, so my thoughts may apply to more of your listeners than just me (or not!). With all of the above to qualify myself, here’s my suggestion. Try to find more topics that are just as interesting and bizarre, but are also less known to those of us that have been around the paranormal genre for awhile, who would really appreciate some variety and fresh content. I really believe that in mixing your current balance of content to satisfy newcomers to the paranormal world, interspersed with harder to find and lesser known gems for those more familiar with the topic, would grow your listener base by satisfying both groups. While this suggestion would certainly require more research and would certainly be more man hour intensive, I really believe the investment would pay off by attracting and retaining a larger, more diverse audience. I hope my thoughts are received in the manner they were intended. You have an excellent podcast that I truly enjoy and hope will continue to grow and develop into a major player among the best in the paranormal genre. Best of luck to you, Cassandra!

  • Kornmom5
    Best voice ever.
I’m familiar with much of the content covered but our host shares her chosen pieces of the material available in such a way as to make it new, mysterious and magical. Lead and I will follow you anywhere dear lady KKN
  • Loganfool
    Love the voice
So much good material on other podcasts is ruined by the voice. I love Cassandra‘s voice and I love the material. Please keep up the excellent work.
  • Jennyrose00
    Good material, delivery needs work
I find the material interesting and entertaining. The host’s presentation is exceedingly dull. I know she’s going for creepy, but it doesn’t work, especially with the longer episodes. The style lands just this side of half asleep. It’s very dull to listen to.
  • Nandy245
    Background Music
Please cut the background music during the telling of the story. It’s just very distracting and it’s a smidge too loud. Otherwise great podcast.

    Her Voice
The way Cassandra talks is way too over the top, too forced. So unnatural.

    Really Good
    Great stuff!
  • Faithful in His Spirit
    Excellent
Cassandra’s rich, and mesmerizing voice will hypnotically capture you into the story she is narrating. The stories themselves, are very interesting, and informative. I hope soon, that “Unpleasant Dreams”, will grow to last longer. Kudos to Maddie for the excellent writing, and to Jim Harold for the excellent audio. I am enjoying Cassandra’s podcast very much!

I love this show! It is exactly what I was looking for in a spooky podcast! Cassandra is an excellent story teller (just like her father!) and I can’t stop listening to this series. I binged the entire series thus far in a day..I love it!

    Great subjects
Love the narration style, topic matter, and background production values. Could wish they were longer, that’s my only complaint. Love listening to these while going to sleep

    Crossroads
Thanks for the Robert Johnson story, a tale so powerful that it resonates 90 years later. However, the story doesn’t end with Robert, it just keeps on growing. I’d like to hear the Eric Clapton story on “Unpleasant Dreams!” A English rhythm guitar player tours with Robert Johnson’s player pal’s son, Sonny Boy Williamson’s - Sonny Boy II. Who schooled Clapton in the lore of the Crossroads. Then something happened, Clapton starts playing lead guitar for the Yardbirds, soaring on to Derrick and the Dominos. Then Cream… and the release of the Crossroad Blues… incredible recognition making list after list of the greatest guitarist, #10, #5 #2 then #1 in the world, while getting deeper into alcohol, coicaine, heroin but recognition and more hit albums but his 4 year old son flys out a 53rd floor window devastation but another #1 song Tears in Heaven. Yeah, I think it’s a great Unpleasant Dream episode in the making it and feel free to name it “The Song Remains the Same!” Oh, which the lead guitarist was Eric’s pal Jimmy Page… yet another Crossroads story! Feel free to explore how the Crossroads web is woven. So many connections, like Eric’s short gig with Blind Faith, which produced the hit “Can’t find my way back home.” Replete with the Album cover art of a naked prepubescent girl which American Courts found to be child pornography and the second run of the album featured a fully dressed band. You can’t make this stuff up! Advice: stay away from any Crossroads in the Mississippi Delta! Forewarned is forarmed! Steve in Tucson

Thank you for honoring this great blues man, and not just sensationalizing the crossroads story.
