Sara YedidyaThe Weekly SqueezeI love this podcast! It has been extremely important to me since the War of October 7. I am given a view of Israeli by an on the ground citizen. I badly wanted to do something to help Israel. Chanale provided me avenues to make donation to the IDF. She inspired me with her stories of non-military people in Israel working together to care for the survivors of the October 7 massacres, who were among many things dislocated from their homes and the IDF soldiers and it’s reservist soldiers who went to war without even proper military boots and helmets and of all things-long underwear. My family and I returned from Israel only a week ago. There are battalions of Israelis and Jews from other countries who just want to help making food for the IDF and for the survivors who were living only miles away from Gaza. There are Israelis with needed skills such as social work and psychologists who donate their time on a daily basis to help the above mentioned group deal with their PTSD. Summer Programs in Israel are recruiting their past graduates to help harvest crops or to help on military bases. Famous Israeli artists have committed themselves to use their music to increase the spirit and resilience of the IDF and Israel at large. Everyday musicians create new music to help Israelis process their experiences. There are members of ZAKA arranging tours of where the Nova Festival was held, and going to a Kibbutz where 1/4 of the members of the kibbutz where either murdered or taken captive, including a 9 mo. old baby who has recently spent his first birthday in Gaza with Hamas - some birthday party…huh….and then to an army base a mile or 2 away from the kibbutz that wasn’t much more than a plot of dirt with tents and ports-potties. These soldiers had gray in the hair and in their beards and some, I suppose, resultant of their time away from the regular IDF cohort, ‘Dad bods’. We came on this tour to bear witness and tell our community what we have seen. And we came to help. So when we arrived at Magen, we unloaded massive amounts of meat and vegetables and gummy candy for dessert and we started making salad and bbqing. And we put a smile on the weary faces of those soldiers. We fed them and by our presence, a bus-load of Jews from foreign countries, we came to say that you are not alone. You are in our hearts and prayers, in our communities and synagogues. Even if we can’t be in yours with any regularity, we hear and see what you need and we will make sure you get it. When we came to Israel we came with a plan of what we hoped to do and that was because of what we heard in Chanale’s podcast and participation in her What’sApp group. Before the war, Chanale’s podcast was still important to us. I talk post October 7 because that is where my head and heart are. I look forward to a time when Chanale can share stories about her wonderful living in Israel - a place where we wish we still were.

ChaiHebrewWitty and Authentic Take on Life in IsraelI love, love this podcast by Chanale, a former American who now lives with her family in Bet Shemesh. As a religious Jew, she gives us a fresh take on life in Israel that is indeed freshly “ squeezed״…. just like the yummy pomegranate juice freshly squeezed by Israeli street vendors. A bit sweet, a bit tart, but always the real deal. Keep up the good work and May you go from strength to strength.

ToneDeafRabbittThe real pulse of IsraelChanale gives us a view of Israel infused with Judaism, politics, jokes and an evolved and authentic neshama. She is very authentic. I do not always agree with her or her guests, but that does not matter. She makes me think. She makes me laugh. She makes me feel connected to what is going on with real life inside an observant Jewish mind. Whether you are Jewish or not, if you are a person of faith or if you just enjoy a great personality and communicator, listen to some programs.

CallieAppThought ProvokingI really enjoy listening to The Weekly Squeeze. I’m “off the derech,” but still interested in what’s happening in the frum world, so it keeps me updated and informed. I don’t always agree with Chanale, but I like hearing her take on current topics. I think it would be fantastic if she would provide links to items she discusses (YouTube videos, IG handles, etc.) - it would be an added benefit to listeners. Chanale, may you go from strength to strength!

lost soul foundGratitudeUplifting and raw. Love hearing from Chana’le about life and Judaism in such an expressive, educated and spiritual way. I thank G-d for bringing Chabad in my life in my 50s and had never knew a thing about Judaism growing up on Long Island. Now I love going to Chabad in Coconut Grove on Shabbos and doing a zoom Tanya on Sundays and some praying etc . All of this thanks to people like Chana’le. This podcast was a godsend and I plan to enroll and hear many more. Chana’le thoughts and words are balm to my soul. Thanks

torahzionistBullying is not okListening to 45 minutes of Chanale bullying two young girls was beyond disgusting, hateful and a disrespect to torah values. There is a way to talk about the torahs laws and values while not trying to destroy and bully others. Very disturbed. On top of that so many false accusations and assumption and those girls couldn’t even be there to defend themselves. Chanale then tells her viewers to go out and support her by giving her good reviews to counter act all those who are calling her out on the bullying that occurred. You can voice your opinion on the torah view on homosexuality, but the way she want about it is shameful. Lost a subscriber

Avoid ChanaleBigotThis person is a hateful person who espouses a gentler form of homophobia on her podcast, but to a larger WhatsApp audience is full of foul and cruel language- those are her real views, that’s how she really feels. This podcast is just a show. “Behind closed doors” she is mean and wishes ill upon others.

RechamaHorrificThis podcast all together should be taken down - a woman who can berate other woman so explicitly while saying “the Torah “ and quoting biblical terms in the same sentence as explicit language is delusional. Did you forget about bein Adam Le chavaro?? You’re so concerned about what they are doing and that it is against the Torah. What you are doing is halachically worse than what they are. Lashin hara especially when it’s none of your business and definitely not with a purpose is ONE HUNDRED percent halachically assur. Where do you decide that what they are doing is wrong but what you are doing is ok. And beyond all that - What does their life effect you? That you need to be so horrible to them. Why do you need to spend your precious time constantly taking other people down? It says so much about you. What is so triggering to you ?? maybe it’s your own life your hiding behind that you feel so connected to this topic and can’t let it go - lady get a life and move on !

Chaim LHateful, cruel and grossIf you are looking to damage your ears and your brain, you can torture yourself by listening to this podcast by a woman who has made being cruel a central component of her identity.

mt-613ShamefulYour ignorance and lack of empathy is profound. Frum arrogance at its worst. What a dope.

GlidinnnnPodcast riddled with hate speechI recently listened to an episode of this podcast that left me deeply troubled and deserves to be called out. In an age where dialogue and understanding are paramount, this particular episode was filled with content that was inappropriate, incendiary, and demonstrating a disappointing lack of empathy. The host engaged in casual hate speech, propagating stereotypes that are not only unfounded, but also actively harmful. Throughout the episode, various minority groups were targeted with derogatory remarks and assumptions. One of the most alarming aspects of this episode was the fact that it largely went unchallenged, normalizing the harmful attitudes and beliefs being shared. This not only silences the voices of those being targeted but also creates a false narrative that such views are mainstream, fostering division and hatred. The role of podcasting in our society, like any form of media, is not just to entertain, but to educate, inspire, and build bridges of understanding. Chanale’s content failed on these counts, using her platform not to unite, but to sow seeds of hate. This is a distressing misuse of the medium and a disservice to listeners who seek engaging, insightful content that respects every human beings experience. Perhaps one of the most disturbing aspects was the host's disregard for the reality and authenticity of LGBTQ+ identities, questioning their validity. These attitudes are fundamentally incorrect and contribute to the misconception that being LGBTQ+ is a choice or a phase, which is not the case. LGBTQ+ individuals, like everyone else, deserve respect and acceptance for who they are. The discourse propagated by this podcast not only undermines these rights but also dismisses the struggles faced by this community. This dismissive behavior can deter individuals from seeking support and understanding, isolating them further. I hope the host and creators of this podcast reflect on the impact of their words and strive to do better in the future. After all, Tikun Olam is what Judaism is all about.

DNR78Happy listenerI always enjoy listening to Chanale’s podcast. Love how she discusses current events relating to Israel and Judaism. She is funny, entertaining and keeps my attention which is not an easy task. She is my go to entertainment when I do my weekly shopping at the supermarket, her podcast makes the experience so much more enjoyable, listening to her chatting on her own or with the guests on her show. TDhasT1DGreat, inspiring podcast and host.great podcast! Chanale is a religious person and her opinions reflect her lifestyle, for the good. It is very inspiring how a orthodox person lives and embodies G-D. I feel sorry that she is receiving hate for speaking the truth! People should be more open to receiving the truth ESPECIALLY if they are religious orthodox themselves!

MavellinSuper relevant and real talk!I have been following and listening to Chanale for several years since she made Aliya, I am super proud of this woman and the podcast she has created. Chanale is true to herself and traditional Yiddishkeit while hosting relevant Jewish guests with essential, inspirational and colorful perspectives. She’s just a normal mama, creator, Israel-lover whose shedding light on tough topics, spreading goodness and having some laughs along the way. I would highly recommend The Weekly Squeeze, there is something interesting for everyone no matter where you stand.
