    A wonderful audio adaptation!
I first read ElfQuest with my grandmother when I was younger. I recently heard about this podcast and had to listen. It was great to hear the stories I grew up reading. I hope there will be more!

    Thank you Wendy & Richard
This is a beautiful expansion and addition to a series that has entertained and inspired me for 30 years. I started reading this series as a girl in the 80s. My dad and I read Comics together and a friend gave him the first two or three color volumes. Maybe it was inappropriate for a tween, but my dad couldn’t take it from me once he saw how much it meant to me. As a young multiracial black girl I was so in love with Leetah and Cutter and the integrating families of Wolfriders and Sunfolk. As a fangirl true and through I was so happy to have a female role model. Like the other review I hope and cannot wait to hear a season two.

Just sad… a huge fan. Truly disappointed
I remember the 1st time I read an elf quest graphic navel in the mid 80s. I was captivated, entranced and in love with cutter, skywise and the entire pack. I would dream about their adventures. About their struggle in the dessert and the quest for their origination. The pins had captured my imagination with their art and story telling. I waited for the film, I waited for then expanded universe. A No story line went unread and explored. I enjoyed them all for years. And still go back to read them again online. However, at the risk of being rude. This audio version is cheap and tawdry to listen to. Interrupted by cvs and some guy talking about fear series. Sad and very disappointing as a true fan. I wish them the best. But I’ll stick with the graphic novels the Pims offer for free on their websites. They are amazing. If you want to hear audio books or storytelling done well. Listen to Jim Dale do all the Harry Potter books. (Free) Or Phil dragish Di the lord of the rings books. (Also free Amazing work and captivating. Have a great 2023

    Awesome!
Explosive! DYNAMITE! A must see! As an Elfquest fan for 37 years, I am thrilled with such a direct and faithful production. There is no “adaptation” here, just the actual story as written virtually word for word. For readers of the comic, this is produced from the prose novel “Journey To Sorrow’s End” that covers the first five issues of the saga. There are scene expansions from Wendy’s original notes as well as all the material from the novelization. Some scenes are reordered from how they appear in the comics, but virtually everything is there. The only major omission is the wolf pack song from the trip through the troll tunnels, most likely due to COVID restrictions at the time of recording preventing the cast from all being together in the same place, but this could be added in later. The cast is stellar and will only attract even bigger talents for the future seasons hopefully to come.

    Fantastic!
This is truely one of the best podcast productions I’ve ever listened too and you can tell that everyone involved was passionate about the project. I grew up reading Elfquest and it has always held a special place in my heart. It is so exciting to be able to listen to my favorite characters come to life! Thank you so much to everyone ennobled for helping to bring this podcast into being!

    Paints a picture, fully immersive
(Update) now that the series is complete, Now is the perfect time to start! I just finished listening again, even though I got my Kickstarter copy months ago. There were still scenes I didn’t remember, since there’s so many bonus bits! Many are drawn to ElfQuest by the beautiful artwork. So how does it make such a great audio drama? It’s a real testament to the strength of the storytelling, and it’s even more epic now with extra scenes and fresh takes on the classic dialogue. I love it!

    Better than expected
It’s been years since I’ve read the comics. I immediately felt thrown back into it. Great voice cast. Fantastic job!!!

    The Quest continues!
A really great cast for the different characters. This does the original source material justice. Faithful to the graphic novel, but adding things from the prose novel and the extra bridging pages in the Marvel printing. The other few edits done to add or change a few details are nicely done for the new media. At times some extra narration is desired to better flesh out a scene that is hard to picture from dialog alone, but I’ve been glued to every word so far!

    A blast from the past!
I have no shame in admitting that, as a kid, I would sit down with my Elfquest comics and a tape recorder, acting out my own audio play. The voices, sound effects and other audio descriptions were all done by 12-year-old me. This podcast is miles above anything I could have dreamed of!

I’ve been waiting so long for this
I grew up reading my mom’s Elfquest comics and I rarely met anyone who knew the story or how wonderful it is. I found this so randomly and was ridiculously excited that it even existed. But to have it be so lovingly and beautifully made makes my inner child so happy 😭💜🙏

    Obsessed
Elfquest is one of the most important stories in my life and I’ve loved it since the 3rd grade. Being able to finally hear the characters I’ve loved for so long has been nothing short of magical. I hope everyone that comes across this will give it a listen - delving into this world is an experience like no other and all of the actors in this drama bring it all to life!

    Amazing!!!
Just brilliant. Exactly as I pictured it sounding. Get chills every time. A+ casting job.
  • Enhanced Story
    Awesome voice actors
Those of us who have loved the Wolfriders for years, are in for such a treat! Picardo, is a great Picknose. I was skeptical at first, but he really delivers. I can’t wait to hear every actor on the manifest. The subtle updates to the script, fill out and enhance our favorite story. I am hooked!

Woke Before It Needed To Be Called Woke!
As a fan of this story for over 30 years, the audio movie truly brings these characters to life in a way that is genuine. If you are new, this experience is a treasure and I’m so excited for you to discover it. In a time when fantasy is being brought to life on screen with many discussions on characters and how they are presented, this story has no need to change as it was diverse to begins with. It is a story of survival, love with and without boundaries and learning who you truly are mixed in with adventure, magic and connection of all beings. There is joy, hate, love and loss. It is all of life’s greatest lessons rolled into an epic tale of an elf finding where he belongs along side many colorful and demential characters that will feel like family by the end. Elfquest truly brang to life how I felt about the world. I hope it does the same for you.

Experience The Quest like never before
In 1978 the first Elfquest story from Richard & Wendy Pini was published. What started as a self-published comic book by the couple’s publishing company WaRP Graphics has now been reprinted or published by Marvel, DC Comics, and Dark Horse Comics. The tale of The Wolfriders and their Chief Cutter spanned for forty years from 1978 to 2018. Now for the first time, the Pini’s tale of the Wolfriders can be heard. A cast of amazing voice, foley, and music talent combine to bring the first five issues of the comic book to life. As someone who has been reading Elfquest since 1984 and having heard the audio movie it is a dream come true.

    First impressions
I am a long time fan of ElfQuest and it has been quite a few years since the last time I read the graphic novel. This Audio movie has blown past all of my expectations and truly has breathed life into this already amazing story.

    This is really good!
I’ve never been into comics, but this totally sucked me in.

    Shows promise
I’ve been reading elfquest for 40 years and have been waiting for a movie for the same number of years. This allows me to create the pictures in my head, which is good. I’m not a huge fan of the voices. Not what I imagined at all, but not terrible. To me, Elfquest is such a visual experience that an audio ‘movie’ just can’t do it justice. I was also crushed to try going to the second episode only to find that a subscription is required. I can’t afford all of the required subscriptions in this world. Maybe one day I’ll get to continue this audio journey. Or I’ll wait for an actual movie🤷🏻‍♂️ Updated 9/8/22: Ok. I just realized that the episodes are being released each week to all of us who aren’t subscribers. Good to know. After two episodes, I’m feeling all the feels of 11 year old me taking my first ride along with Cutter and the Wolfriders. Nothing will ever compare to the books, but I am enjoying seeing all of my old friends in my mind as I listen to this production

    Memories
I was a pre teen when I discovered my mother Elfquest comics. I fell in love with the story and she has gifted them to me. It was one of the few things we bonded over. She passed away last year and now I am almost 40. This audio movie was everything I ever pictured. It brought me back to the first moment I was introduced to the brave and wise Cutter, and his beloved healer. Thank you Richard and Wendy Pini!
  • OrionChastaRee
    Amazing and Enthralling!
I have faithfully followed the comic book series for decades! It is a great joy and wonder to now have this new dimension of sound added to the already rich and imaginative narrative that has been carefully written and crafted by the amazing Wendy & Richard Pini! Come join us!

Most life changing story in the comic world
The 40 year long story of Cutter and his tribe is a beautiful journey of life. It has changed many of its fan’s lives, including saving it. I couldn’t have gotten through my dark confusing childhood, teens years, and 20s without it. From age 9 it’s been integrated into my very soul. So much information about reality is weaved into this amazing tale. To the very end, when I realized what life was really about, it was there by my side to help me find understanding and purpose in this confusing world. It has received many awards. It’s the only comic to have been published by 3 big publishers: Marvel, DC, and currently Darkhorse. They self published for decades. Now we finally have a movie, although it might not be the kind we had thought it would be! Casted with actors who played on Star Trek Voyager and Buffy and many others!! Elfquest is a blessing to the humans of Earth! I am so happy we were able to help make this a reality!

    More, please!
What a great story! Loved all the different actors they got for all the characters instead of having one person reading. The sound effects really bring d as live the comic source material. Even if I hadn’t read the comic, the story was vibrant and alive. Fingers crossed for a next season!
