Kathleen has a great standup act but too long and laugh less on Podding

I look forward to hearing from Kathleen every week. She has created a platform for her journalism skills. She has consistently shared her often hilarious and spot on reactions to print and video items provided by her research assistants. I like hearing the laughter and muted comments of her technicians and I’m sure it helps Kathleen. They are doing the work of the Lord.

I can’t imagine my life without Kathleen’s Pubcast now, it’s the highlight of my week when a new one is released! Here’s to many more, cheers Kathleen and Paddles!

EDIT: Now Paddles has added the loudest clap she possibly can. I used to be the odd termite out on this one but guys….it’s so bad. It’s almost like Jody reads the comments and has decided to scrape her nails down the chalkboard in response. I love Kathleen. I’ve been a termite before the term was coined. Paddles’ laugh is so goddamn annoying. JC. It really makes it hard to enjoy the pubcast and it’s FANTASTIC but she ruins it with the obnoxiously LOUD, incessant laughter. It overshadows Kathleen and it’s absolutely ridiculous. I have to give 5 stars to Kathleen but if I had to consider Paddles too it’d be a 2. That’s how distracting it is. I look forward to this every week…and I dread Paddles ruining it every week.. 😭

Hysterically funny! A bit educational, not political, healthy attitude and good vibes! What more could you want? Try one show and you’ll be hooked. I ended up going back to listen to all of them from the beginning.

I’ve loved Kathleen as a comedian for many years. I was ecstatic to find her Pubcast during Covid. She is hilarious, super smart and has a common sense approach to things that go on in the world. Listen to her show! You will laugh a lot and learn just as much about what’s going on!

Content is so good and as always Kathleen Madigan delivers, but please, please the background laughter and sound is so distracting I can’t listen for any length of time, it’s so distracting and annoying.

Kathleen is my absolute favorite comedian! My ears just really don’t like Paddle’s maniacal laughter, I’m so sorry! I’m trying so so hard to just get over it because I love Kathleen so much! Nothing personal Paddles, I promise!

Before podcasts I purchased ur albums and love downloading to listen in my car. Keep up the great work.

A fan for decades, I was thrilled to find Kathleen’s podcast. I listen daily to old episodes….feel as though I’m in a social studies class with a great teacher. Kathleen Madigan is a hilarious comedian and has made an almost great podcast series. As a recovered Catholic, I have often related to and laughed with her brand of comedy for years. However, no one has ever laughed as much as Paddles, the Ed McMahon of the show, who finds every word from Kathleen uproariously zany. Unlike other audible show partners like Robin Quivers, Paddles’ interruptions disrupt Madigan’s comfortable demeanor. Honestly, the sidekick is worse than a sitcom laugh track; almost enough to dismiss the show completely.

Just saw her live in ft Myers. She was excellent!!!

Kathleen puts fun in the day. I don’t drink, but love to hear her snack and drink review. Like hearing the Mormon jokes, gotta laugh at the mirror it helps me understand my own beliefs.

Can you get two good mikes? Whoever is in the background laughing/talking is almost unintelligible, can’t hear them well, and it is irritating and weird. Bye-bye if you don’t fix this.

When Covid first hit, they didn’t let people in crowded, live theaters, so thankfully I wandered into Madigan’s Pubcast. Love the “life on the road” stories, the current event stuff that’s so heavy, but Madigan comes outta left field and gives us a break. She just a damned funny comedian! Never goes preachy, and always heads for fun, bizarre topics. Laughing and smiling are good for you. Listen to this one!

I have listened to every single episode at least once. Kathleen’s lighthearted but realistic outlook on life has helped me see the joy in the little things like unique treats and a good beer.

This podcast started strong and only got better. If you like wacky snacks, cats named after drug kingpins and Dolly Parton, this is the podcast for you.

Kathleen Madigan‘s podcast is funny, informative, and very entertaining. I could listen to her for days and days. She keeps us up on what’s new and I love her views. Give it a try I think you’ll like it.

I was never drawn to a one-person podcast, but I’ve enjoyed Kathleen’s shows and the podcast was recommended by my husband so I tried it. I’m hooked (even though I don’t have “an addictive personality”)! I enjoy Kathleen’s clever humor, her unique point of view and all the stories. Thank you for doing this “for us,” Kathleen!!!!!

Kathleen is who I would want on the stool next to me in any bar. I think she is hysterical and intelligent. I’m a 72 year old woman originally from Buffalo, NY and I find her humor to be very entertaining in a girl-next-door way. She is my favorite comedian.

She is, without a doubt, THE BEST!!!! Love the podcast and re-watched the stand ups to get me through recovery from nasty surgery…and it worked!!! 😉😉😉

I love this lady, BUT it’s annoying that you can barely hear her producer (?) in the background, chipping in. So either turn up her mike or cut her input, please!

Kathleen is awesome and righteously hilarious in a way that feels like home. But the loud girl off-microphone in the background letting off her constant, annoying laugh ruins the show. That girl makes me stop listening every time I try. Nearly impossible to listen with headphones because of her volume. It's to the point that it interrupts the flow of discussion. Pleeeeease get rid of her.

Kathleen is so great but the incessant, mindless laughter in the background makes me want to turn it off. She’s like the super annoying friend that nervous laughs at everything you say. Please, please shut her up. Takes away from a great podcast.

I really hope you never stop making this podcast! I saw you in St. Louis, my second time - the first was at Westport Plaza in the early 90’s. Madigan’s Pubcast is my favorite podcast…..you’re the best and you make me laugh.

I am new to the pubcast and have not listened yet. I saw her live show a week ago and she is hilarious - loved her performance. Her jokes were awesome and i would love to see her next time she does a show. She is one of my favorite comedians and i am sure her pubcast will not disappoint

Live show was horrible! Comedy show was funny but then doing it live a year later not relevant anymore. Jokes fell flat and banter on podcast is funny so do that live! Never once referred to audience as “termites” or any current content! Don’t waste money on live shows!
